Your Data Rights
Who can see your data?
We get it, knowing who your data is being stored by and where it is stored is pretty important to everyone. After all, it is YOUR data and personal information being stored somewhere that you hope is being used properly. Rest assured, we understand this very deeply, we also use the internet and want our data stored securely. Our database, and whole server right now, is being hosted by a company called nfoServers. WE will not intentionally leak, sell, give out, or give access to anyone in order to see your data, the only exceptions are the companies in which the plugins we have installed are made from and the gravatar profile picture service. External services who may even remotely see your data is our hosting provider, their privacy policy is here.
That being said, let’s go over some of the data rules and policies that we have incorporated for our protection and your data protection.
Data Retention.
At the time of writing and implementation of this privacy policy, data retention is permanent. There is no real way of deleting your data specifically without redoing the whole site. That being, if you delete your account through the WordPress plugins this site offers, it may still keep your data, just simply deactivating the account though.
And the question you all have been waiting for an answer…
What data do we store?
The data we store varies based on the plugins we use on this site and what we have active and running. This is dependent on the time of day since they can change in a moment’s notice, we are not responsible for notifying users of when we change plugins. This is because we do not have the time and capabilities to notify all users of when plugins are changing. What could and can be collected is the following and this is not an exhaustive list:
- IP Address
- Location
- Device type and name
- Username
- Cookie preferences
- Activity on the site (i.e what page you click and where it takes you)
- Ad tracking (even though we do not have ad tracking plugins, we are unsure what the plugins 100% collect)
- and so on.
All of this, as mentioned here, is stored on a server that we rent, not own. The privacy policy for the server rental service we use is also mentioned above in the “Who can see your data” section.
