What it means having an intimate relationship with God and knowing his love.

The most valuable relationship to most people can either be their spouse, a child, a family member, or some other loved one. They will do almost anything and everything to ensure that relationship stays intact since it is what they value the most in their life. We, as believers and followers, have the absolute most valuable relationship in the universe for us to have and keep intact as much as we can. Our relationship is with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior,  our relationship with him is what guides us in life and determines what we do and how we do it. We aren’t called to just have any relationship with him but an intimate relationship with him where we get to know him and his character as well with opening up to him and confiding within. God desires us to open and tell him anything and everything that may be bothering us, what we are grateful for, want our needs are, and what our desires are for our life. We can do these things because he calls us his children and not just friends or a servant, even though we do serve him, but his sons and daughters whom he is quite pleased with.

God’s intimate presence in our lives will change everything we do from our mood, to our thoughts, to our activities as he changes and shapes us. He does this to make us the people whom he needs us to be for his will and to keep us holy in order to live a life with him for eternity. Our souls were not made to go to hell, we were made to spend eternity with God in his kingdom and with his love surrounding us all the time. Allow your soul to desire a relationship with its creator and then feed it with reading the Bible and praying in order to know God while allowing your soul to be overwhelmed by his love. Take refuge in him and know that his presence is all you need in order to live the life he has set forth before you, yes, you will need others to help you, but his presence is what completes you. In order to do this, you must be willing to seek him our and get to know him through reading, prayer, and fasting from things in order to spend more time with him.

You may just so happen to have a life experience to stumble upon him or you may be searching for him, regardless of either, once you find him you will want more of him. Once you get to know him and start separating from the world, it will try to persecute you and get you to join back into its sinful schemes and plays for the devil wants to separate you. Do not fall away and when you feel yourself slipping, ask God to help you and tighten his grip on you for he will not let go and will always love you anyway. Jesus does not promise us a problem free life, but promised us a life with persecution and problems as we do his will. He calls us the crop amongst weeds and when it is time for harvesting, the angels will come and harvest everyone and Jesus will sort out the good and the bad. In order to stay with him, we must remain faithful and obedient to what he asks us to do knowing its for our good and for the will he has planned out for us.

When experiencing hard times in our lives thinking that he has forgotten about us or has abandoned us, we have to stay faithful knowing that he is with us. Going through the fire doesn’t mean God has left you, he is forming you into what you need to be for the next season of your life. Keep your head high and still praise and worship him knowing that his blessings still come upon your life regardless of what is happening. God is God of all and knows everything, he sees what you are going through and does care, he does have compassion when we are down. He still lets it happen because he knows what the outcome will be even though we may not know, he knows what we will turn into once the refinement is finished. Every season isn’t forever and they all have their purpose in our life, if it be to teach us a new skill, or to refine us more perfectly for what he needs us for. We must remain faithful to him knowing that his love still touches us and his eyes rest upon us since he created us.

In conclusion, our relationship with God is the most important and valuable thing in the universe, during our toughest moments he is with you. God can and will turn bad situations around and use it for his good for it is written “what the enemy meant for bad, God will use for good”, don’t give up no matter who persecutes you. You may be disowned by your family and friends and homeless, he is with you and if you remain faithful he will guide and show you why you are going through this. The storms in life may be to development your character for exactly what he needs you to do and what he has in store for you, do not underestimate the storms of life and complain. Ask what he is teaching you in the middle of them and know everything will be Okay, Amen!!!!
