Getting our confidence from God and not from this world in order to have stable faith in whatever we do.

Trusting people can be hard a lot of times depending on your past circumstances and your circumstance. You may be easy to trust others as everyone you have trusted has fulfilled their promises, or you may find it hard because of what people have or have not done. Trust is essential in everything we do from who we assign tasks to, who we speak to and confide in, to – for most- ultimately who we choose as a partner. The trust we have for certain people can be variable dependent on the issue, you may trust them with one thing but not the other. There is only one person who can be all of trust in no matter what and his name is Jesus Christ who is our Lord and Savior. We are told beyond numerous times throughout the Bible to put our trust in him and allow him to take care of us since we are his children.

Our confidence should come from The Lord himself alone, sure we may have confidence because of our education, experience, and so on, however it should ultimately come from God. Putting our confidence in him shows him, and others, that we are not concerned about what is happening for we trust God and know that he is in control of what the outcome may or may not be. Being this confident normally comes from obtaining the proper relationship from God and in turn the proper wisdom he gives to those who love and fear him. It’s through this wisdom that we understand he is in complete control regardless of what we think with the ability to trust him for our needs and proper desires. This confidence will give you peace and joy as you understand everything will ultimately work out for your good and why he allowed it to happen.

We can rest easy within God since we will not rely on our own understanding strength but on his understanding and strength. There is no point to keep your self-pride and obtain the wealth of the world if you cannot peace, joy, and happiness in your life. Trusting God and putting faith in him also leads us to love others as he loves them since we can overlook their offenses that they have committed. We are told to love others as ourselves, putting your trust in God will help you to love your neighbor back and forgive them since your self-pride is gone. This confidence comes from a relationship with him in which God will lead and guide you, protect you, and reveal to you secrets and things that the world does not know or understand.

Since you lose your self-pride in this transformation, you will become humble unto him. Allow God then to change you into the person whom he needs you to be and allow him to overwhelm you with his love and forgiveness. Feeding our faith is to have this confidence constantly while starving the doubts by reminding ourselves what he has done in the past. When doubts creep in, remind yourself of what God has done for you and what he has done for others since he keeps his promises. Remind yourself that he has heard all of your prayers and will give you an answer in due time and in accordance to his will. Show your faith in God by the actions you do daily, whether it be to talk to someone and help them find peace in God through a difficult time or give your money to someone on the street even though you yourself do not have much.

Simple acts of faith show God and others what we truly value and what is truly in our hearts. We enter the Kingdom of Heaven by faith in Jesus and in God, so keep your faith even in tough times and trials. God will test our faith by hardships as gold is refined in the furnace to make it perfect. In order to do this though it must endure fire and hammer multiple times to remove the dross until finally the goldsmith can see his reflection. God will test us like this, he will cause trial after trial in order to test our faith until we are strong enough and he can see himself in us. Yes, he dwells in us, however the trials are to perfect our faith as we rely on him for everything while obtaining confidence.

In the end, it all has a reason as to why you keep going through the smoke and flames of life with God. Know that he is refining you as you are being tested and pout your confidence in him knowing that he is with you and in control. We may question why the wicked seem to get away with things and then why his children suffer and trust him for one day his judgment on everyone will come. Keep your faith and know that what you prayed for has been heard, do not doubt him and what he can do as God, and let go as he is in control putting your full trust in the only one that is completely trustworthy. May God bless you, your friends, and family, and everything will be Okay, Amen!
