How to find, obtain, and keep wisdom close to us through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Wisdom, we all want wisdom in some way from our job to parenting to treating people fairly and justly. Wisdom is what tells people apart from doing what is right from doing what is wrong an perverse in God’s eyes, people with wisdom stand out from the rest. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, commands us to seek God first and his wisdom, allowing everything else to come to us in due time for God to prepare us. There is a difference between knowledge and wisdom, the saying goes “Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing that it doesn’t go in a fruit salad.” We can be full of knowledge, yet lack wisdom if we do not allow God to lead us in life and seek his ways and read his word. Wisdom is taught through trials and tests, tests that God will put us through and will be with us through not leaving us to our own devices.
We have wisdom available to us from God who we are told gives wisdom generously and abundantly to those who fear and revere him. Asking God for wisdom is something that he desires all of us to do in order to live the life that he has for us the best we can. When we obtain wisdom from The Lord, we gain something that is amazing and beautiful, something the world will lack because of their inability to see things God’s way. Wisdom is what comes first from God then everything else, like peace and love, will follow close behind as you grow in wisdom with God on your walk of life. Obtaining this wisdom will also help you to lead well, God will continue to mold you into the shape of Christ therefore you will also lead and love and Jesus did.
Doing so can and will help you with your walk in life with Jesus from your home, to your place of work, or even a business you are running. Allowing him to guide you in wisdom for leadership is how people will respect you and possibly find their way to God as well. Wisdom will help you lead by giving you common sense and the knowledge in order to lead along with the courtesy and love of Christ to see people as people and not just things. Gaining this wisdom will help you to see people with eyes of wisdom, forgetting their past and seeing that they are trying to better themselves. Seeing past their mistakes and helping them to do better is what Jesus did for us when he died on the cross, taking away every sin and forgiving our debts. Yes people will mess up from time to time, we are told to look past that and help them to be better and love them for who they are not what they were.
We also have wisdom when making decisions, having this wisdom can help us make the best decisions we can make with God involved. It can be for a family choice or a business decision, keeping God involved and using his principles will guarantee the best possible outcome that he ahs for you. We make thousands of decisions a day, make sure to ask God for wisdom at the beginning in order to make the rest of them count for your life here on earth. Pray when it is a big decision like Moses did in order to get God’s intercession and decisions directly from him in order to make the best choice that he could make. And wisdom is available to all of those who call upon her, calling upon wisdom and seeking God is how we can get to these moments of making the best choices and seeing people differently.
Wisdom is not only for one group of people or one specific person, it can be used and is available to everyone. The first step to wisdom is to fear and revere The Lord, then wisdom will be given to you if you pray for it. We are commanded to keep wisdom close like a sister or a relative, speaking to her when we need to and praying to God when we need more wisdom for a decision. God never intended for us to figure out our life by ourselves, he made us not rely on each other with community and marriages, but to also rely on him and the spiritual gifts he has for us. So speak to him and seek out wisdom, you will not regret it; may God bless you and keep you safe, Amen!
