Being generous with our time, money, and blessings expecting nothing in return.

Being generous with our blessings, something we are called to do as children and followers of Christ. Like Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, we are meant to help others, be kind, and be generous with are various things with them. We are meant to give to them without expecting anything in return, without holding on what they have borrowed and then give them interest when they do pay it back. Generosity isn’t a one-time thing; we are called to live it out every day and at any chance we get to help someone. We are also commanded to help and be generous even to those who may hate us for no good reason or any reason at all. We are called to be like Jesus who went everywhere helping everyone regardless of who they were and are, helping them and not starting anything that would cause issues, to live his sinless life.

We can live generously and lovingly because God gave generously to us and loved us first and the absolute most, and he still does. We can earn and earn and obtain and obtain, our hearts will still feel empty and like dark voids, no filling or sense of love and accomplishment. We are meant to have human interactions and to give to those who are in need, in need of help for finances, food, shelter, water, and so on. We are meant to be like this to the point where if we have our last dollar and instead of buying something for ourselves, like the world would want, we are to help the person down to the road that has nothing. We are meant to also help those who may hate us for some or no reason at all, giving to them shows that we hold no hatred and that we are getting rid of hatred showing the enemy that he has no room in our hearts. Being generous will never have regretful feelings, we will always have a sense of fulfillment when we give generously from our hearts.

We are also called to bless our enemies on top of just helping them in any way we can, the world would want you to curse them and have hatred. Stirring hatred in our hearts is how we reject the love of God and allow the enemy to slip in and break our hearts and minds. Allowing in only love shows the world that we our of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and that we will not allow its influence to affect us. We can be generous because God was generous to us by giving us his son that we may live with him for eternity and not go to hell where we all deserve to be. In order to be this generous, you must allow Jesus to change your heart, so your source of love and generosity is from the overflow into your heart from God.

This does not come overnight, so do not be afraid, trust God that he is working within you to make you the best you can be on earth with your time here. Everything comes from God and his heart, our breath, food, water, heartbeat, all of it, because he continuously generous to keep us here because he isn’t finished with us yet. So, ask him every morning to give you the overflow in order to overflow into others and watch as he changes everything. He blesses you in order to also bless and help others with what they need, allow him to guide you and your inheritance is in Heaven alone. May God bless you, protect you, keep you, and guide you, Amen!
