What is in our heart and what do we allow to enter into it in order to keep it purified for The Lord.
Our hearts are weak in nature when it comes to fighting off spiritual attacks and the temptations from lust to power to the love of money and obtaining more. We are quick to fall into such temptations and then we can spiral away from God and what he has for us. This normally happens because our hearts are idol making machines, wanting to do what they want to do in order to satisfy themselves. We are even told that from day one, our hearts are far from God even as children and infants just born because of the sinful nature of this world. It can be hard at first for our hearts to turn back to God and ask for hid forgiveness and help throughout our life, yet it is what he wants us to do in order to live with and for him. Through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior dying for us, our hearts can be united with the first person to ever love them and the one who will them regardless of what they do. Our hearts can be reunited with God and understand his love and get their satisfaction from him, it will be difficult at first, yet God will remain faithful to us. We have to make sure we follow his commandments and understand that he will love us even when we mess up, as long as we try our best to repent and ask him to forgive and change us.
Our hearts can make good and bad things depending on the situation we are in and what we are facing at the present moment. In these moments, we are told to take heart and remember God’s faithfulness and his promises to us knowing that he will keep us safe and only give us temptations that we can handle. Our hearts are weak in nature and therefore are prone to making idols, rash decisions, and horrible judgement calls on what to do if we do not sit and think for a minute. Our hearts can be devious if not held accountable and in alignment with God’s will, they go off the rails and cause us to start acting out. This can be anything from self-gratification, lust, adultery, gossip, hatred, and so on, things God does not want our heart to consist of. We have to fight this with God’s laws and truths for our lives and not let the world corrupt our hearts and cause us to sin against God and those whom we love.
Give your heart to God and allow the blood of his son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, to wash your heart clean and make it new everyday you wake up. Remembering God’s laws of being moral, upright, and righteous from the beginning and remember what he gave to Moses to help the Israelites get through their issues. We are to love God our Lord the most and then love our neighbor as ourselves in order to show them hope, love, forgiveness, and to help with their everyday needs. Do not let the world corrupt your moral laws that God has given us through the old and the New Testament. For example, paying the wages of employees and hired workers the night they complete their work, not having gossip, not holding grudges, and activities like witchcraft, palm readings, tarot cards, etc. These are the devious works of the heart that can lead to bad spiritual openings and influence, yet it’s something the world will want because its ‘fun’ and ‘entertaining’. Its only ‘fun’ and ‘entertaining’ until you have ‘something’ in your house you cannot get rid of, the world wants us to live like this. We must then fight back with the truth and what the word says about the devil and his plans knowing God’s will prevails now and forever.
This is just one thing the heart will want as the flesh tries to take control and the enemy tries to get into your heart and mind. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior tells us to be authentic people, people who are always forgiving, kind, and speaking the truth to others. Speaking the truth shows that we can be trusted, and others are safe around us in order to speak and share with us what’s wrong and their deepest secrets. Eventually everything will be brough to light with God, if someone shares it with you though, be authentic, do not be tray them, if anything pray for them. The world wants you to gossip and spreads lies, we are called to help them and keep the truth about what is happening and to then help them. Another thing we are commanded to do is to keep justice at an all-time high, fighting back the corruption that happens in the legal system. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior was found guilty by corrupt judges with no evidence of doing any wrong in the first place.
Living in a corrupt world is how the enemy wins, defeating God’s children and turning many away from him in order to save their lives here on earth. Keeping our hearts corrupt free and not dependent on the world, only on God requires us to then identify with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Identify with Jesus and give him everything, yes, we will have bad days and then we might fail once and if we do not get back up we will fail and fail. Peter most likely never meant to get so far away from Jesus, his friend, Lord, and Savior and yet he did when Jesus was brough to Roman courts. Sinning once and then over and over, not meaning to and yet not going back can lead to horrible results and can lead us to a dark place. Like Jesus did to Peter, he will forgive us if we just run back to his arms and ask earnestly for his assistance and strength with guidance for this life ahead. Identifying with Jesus is how we make sure that when we mess up and fess up, God will forgive, and we just have to try our hardest to obey and pray for his guidance and love.
Our hearts can hurt us and others when not submitted to the proper authority. Make sure they are made anew and then submitted to God, the ultimate authority, in order to stay pure. Do not allow it to make its own idols, ask God to keep it nice and clean for as his place on earth within you. As it is written, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior dwells within us as his Holy Temple, and because he dwells within us, we have the Holy trinity with us. We are promised that God will not stop working within us and that we are his responsibility up until the second coming of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. So do not worry right now if you have recently given yourself to Christ and you are still doing your old ways, keep trying, repenting, and praying knowing that God is slowly at work within you. So do not worry, God’s got you and is watching over you like a father watches over his children as they are playing. I pray that God may bless you and keep you safe, cleaning you out from the inside out in order to do what he has planned for you, may he keep you and bless you, AMEN!!!!
