Being rich with mercy and giving to others as God gives it to us.
Mercy, we all want mercy in our lives for when we disappoint someone, to messing up, to just needing it because we are humans. Some people give it more freely than others, and some do not give it so easily; as people who call Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, we are told to be rich and merciful to everyone. We are told and commanded to love, protect, and have mercy for anyone and everyone as we need and receive such things from God. Jesus was and is merciful to some many people who we might think do not deserve his mercy, and that’s because he wasn’t and isn’t human. God still loves those who persecute his children and who are his enemy, and if they turn to him, he forgives them for everything. We are shown who he was merciful to and how he handled each person with his tender love and care from his heart as he does for us.
Jesus was and is merciful to those who are struggling in their lives, just to make it through or struggling from persecution all together. Even though we face struggle in various forms, from lack of love from parents, to having hardships seemingly thrown at us, we know God is still in control. Since we know he is still in control, we can know that his love for us is still ever the same no matter what is happening and that he will see the through of it with us in order to help us go to where he needs us at. God may give us hard times in order to help us recognize that we need him as not just as our savior, but as our healer, first love, good and perfect Father, and so on. We are promised that God will accept us and love us no matter the situation, circumstances, issue, or what we do, we are promised that nothing can separate us from his love, not even hell and the sins we have committed.
He will take care of us since we are his children, we just have to approach him as his child because we are. The disciples and we are told to watch and observe how a child behaves with their parents, loving them entirely, obeying them, and most importantly, entirely relying on them for everything. Jesus accepted, gave love, and then blessed the children that he encountered, and he also calls us to become like children to God. He doesn’t mean to become foolish and childish in every way, just to humble ourselves and recognize our need for our Heavenly Father as children recognize their need for their parents for everything. We are to approach him for things that we desire like children approach their parents for things that they desire, hoping that maybe we might receive it when the time comes if that is what God has in store for us.
Humbling ourselves helps us to realize that not everything comes from this world, God will provide when we allow him to and make space for him to. We are told that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich and wealthy person to enter Heaven’s gates. Yet, Jesus still has love for those who are wealthy and also who use their wealth for the good and glory of the Kingdom when they are told too. He also has love and compassion for the poor, and as people who are wealthy or who are able to, we should try to help the poor the best we can in order to give them some boost and help them survive. We are all guilty of not helping when we should have to give someone something just to make it by for that day. We can take heart and also know that Jesus has compassion and love for the guilty of sin and of any sin, except attributing the works of the Spirit to the devil.
Jesus died for us in order for us to live with him and God for eternity, showing us his love and compassion on our souls. God recognized that we were lost and had no compass to follow, so instead of leaving it up to us to make sacrifices day in and day out, like in Leviticus, he gave his one and only son Jesus. This is love to fullest, allowing us to be one with God through the sacrifice of the perfect lamb in order to live with God for eternity when we pass from here. So, when you are feeling down, unloved, guilty, and so forth, go to God and ask him to fill you with his love and joy from within. Jesus shed his blood so then we wouldn’t have to live feeling ashamed, guilty, lost, and depressed because he went through the worst in order to give us the best. His blood was shed, and he transferred the sins from then and now to be on him in order to be separated from God and then reunited with us beside him.
We walk with him through the life he wants us to have, yes, we will disobey, sin again, and get frustrated and act out like a child. He is still faithful and willing to help us through in order to accomplish what we need to accomplish; we just need to return to him humbly. So, go to him and ask him to take everything off of your shoulders and allow rest for your soul in order to complete the works he has for you. Let him take care of you and become a child unto him, no matter how old you are, 3, 13, or even 103; we are still his children. Let go and let him be God and watch as everything turns around, we will be persecuted and probably lose people, they were only going to slow you down anyway. Still love and forgive them and allow Jesus to give the people who will help and accelerate your life. May God bless and protect you, Amen!!!!
