Seek God’s glory and righteousness everywhere we go in our lives.
Fame and glory, two things millennials want today no matter the cost physcially, mentally, emotionally, or financially. They all want to be famous, have power, and want the money that comes with it in order to feel like they accomplished something in their lives. They do this by abandoning everything and everyone they love, seek the money, and idolize those who have already become famous. They study their ways, character, investments, and so on in order to become their idol and whom they want to believe. These idol will get you no where, fame will get you no where, all of the money and influence wont get you anywhere if God isn’t in it.
The only glory and fame we should all be praising is that of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, his glory and influence should be the only one praised. Jesus deserves it all for what he has accomplished for us on the cross and what he did for us when we would have perished eternally. We are told to try our best to live up to God’s glory by keeping ourselves clean from people who do not associate with God and his children. We are told to seek God’s glory by reading everyday and talking to him on a regular basis in order to keep our minds and hearts clean. Doing so will ensure that when our time comes for us to return home, God will see himself in us and proclaim “Well done my good and faithful servant”. Do not let the influence of the world and the world to gain your own following to penetrate your mind and heart.
This is the way of the world and what corrupts the people who live in it, trying to obtain their own fame and glory. They themselves try to becomes gods because they want the money, fame, and the following of those whom they perform for. These people will have their share when it comes to meet God on judgement day, do not associate with them for they are children of the enemy. We are told that God dwells within us as his children in order to bring his glory to those who need to see it and his light of life and love. We have this amazing opportunity to then show people Jesus’ glory through ourselves and through the testimony he has given us to share with others. We became the temple of God’s glory when his Holy Spirit dwells within us since the death and resurrection of Christ, allowing us to be one with God and not separated by our sins.
With his Spirit dwelling within us, we are able to reflect God’s glory and fame through ourselves and point people back to him in order to give him all of it. He will help us in order to achieve this, from speaking to someone about something private, to speaking out loud and proclaiming the Gospel. As his children, we are to as a family show his fame and love to those who may need it in their hardest of times, even our fellow brother and sisters. When times are tough, it can be hard to rememeber how good God can be and that he is in control and that he is still the same God as yesterday. We can lose sight of his glory and fame when going through these hard times, so we need the help of others in order to guide as back, and to see him for who God is. For God is our loving Father who will provide for us despite any circumstances and remember, nothing is impossible for the ones who believe and trust in Power, Glory, and Fame of The Lord Jesus Christ.
God may do something in order to rejuvenate your faith back in him to show you that he is still in control. Remember, Jesus dies for us to obtain God’s love, forgiveness, Spirit, and grace in order to get to him and his glory. We are allowed to be amazed by this glory and fame because of what was done for us to be face to face with him on a daily basis. So, allow him to shoe you his fame and glory and why he is able to do what he can and wants to do. Allow him to change everything in your situation around and help those who also need help. Trust him entirely and may God bless you and keep you, Amen!
P.S. Matthew Perry once prayed the prayer in the video below, showing that worldly fame and glory does not make you joyous or happy.
