Allowing God to change our priorities and putting him first to live the life he has for us.

We all have some sort of priorities in our lives, it’s how we maintain the life we have from jobs, to relationships, to school. It’s how we keep an organized life and putting certain things above others and maintaining that order and peace in our life. What we tend to prioritize first is what we will focus on the most since it is the most important thing in our life. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, he should and will become your number one priority and person to look to for help and acceptance. Our priorities should be in the order in which God has given us examples of his priorities for our life. If you are married and have children, they should come first right after your relationship with God, family is before your job and anything else.

Our first priority should be our relationship with Jesus since that determines the course of our life and what we will end up fulfilling and doing. Putting our relationship first with Jesus and God is so important that Jesus did it every day, he would wake up early to go pray to God about whatever he needed to. Praying to God not only gets stresses and things off of our minds, but it’s an invitation to God to be with us in the day and the following days ahead. This will enhance your relationship with him as you become more personal and intimate with him as your life goes on. As you pray, you will learn the priorities that Jesus has for your life knowing that he will take care of everything and guide you to the life ahead for you. One of these priorities is to proclaim the Gospel to everyone that you can in order to help those who need saving from the enemy.

In order to do this, you will be given the power and authority to evangelize for the Kingdom while ensuring that your desires match that of God in order to grow the Kingdom. Doing this will show people who you belong to and then show them the love that God has for them enabling them to return back to him as they were lost without him like we once were. Doing this will also help you to prioritize the love you have for others while showing yourself the love God has for you. Prioritizing him with you to prioritize the commandments and ways of God, for example, not lusting or cheating on someone. As you learn his love, you will see that his no’s are for our benefit and to protect us along with the rules he has made from the old and new covenant. God made the command and rules not for us to be restricted, but to live a fun and fulfilling life in a safe environment. That is what a good Father and parent will do, they will let their children have fun with rules to ensure they are safe and sound and so they can watch them and watch out for their safety.

So, the priorities and rules that God gives us isn’t to restrict our freedom that we have been given by Jesus dying on the cross. They are there to safeguard the freedom to ensure we can remain holy and as sinless as possible to live with him for eternity. Prioritize God and everything will be added onto you knowing that what he has for us is the best that we can receive and yet better than what we can imagine. Allow him to show you his love and know that everything will be Okay. May God bless you and protect you from harm, love him first and then love others, Amen!!!!

P.S. Remember that his love for us bigger than we can see and ever imagine.
