Both the Spiritual highs and lows have a specific timing, allowing us to rely totally and be dependent on God always.

High and lows in life, they will happen to everyone, and no one wants to experience the lows for too long. I believe we can all agree that it seems like the highs in life last for a shorter amount of time than the lows, in these times everything is challenged. Everyone in the bible experienced both of these times, even Jesus did when he started doing his ministry at the very beginning. His spiritual high was receiving the gift of The Holy Spirit from God and hearing from God himself that he was loved and was cherished by God. This was then immediately followed by a low of fasting and being the forest for 40 days and nights while being tempted by the devil to do things.

It’s through the lows however that God increases our reliance on him and to ensure that we know that we need him and grow in discipline. There is a quote that the gold is only refined by going through the fire and flames, in order to refine you, God has to put you through the trials and flames. We are also shown that every low season has its end that can be followed by a spiritual high. Job was a great example when God had him go through a low in order to ensure that he would remain faithful. In the end God blessed him abundantly more than he could ever imagine for his faithfulness and love for him. It’s also through spiritual lows that God prepares us for the calling and authority he has prepared for us, he does this to ensure that we remember who gave us such abilities in the first place. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior went through the low in order to receive his authority from God as well, something God will do to us.

Through the low, God gave Jesus the ability to have his authority, to do wonders, and to get people to follow him in which he gave them their authority. Think about it, you do not put someone in charge of something unless they have proven themselves able to handle such tasks and that they will listen to what you need them to do. God may be using your spiritual low to make sure that you will still obey and have faith in him in order to bless you with the things he has for you. You may not get it right the first time, the second, time or even the tenth time; God is still faithful to us and is very patient with us in order to learn. After you learn it through and God is ready to bless you, he will bless you with your spiritual high that he has prepared for you, just remember who brought you out of your low and how has blessed you. Joseph had to go through 13 years of a lows in order to receive his gift of his high of being second-in-command of Egypt and gave God the glory for it.

When going through these periods in time, remember that God is always with you, he loves you, and he delights in you. Call upon him in your lows and highs and ask for his grace, leadership, forgiveness, and love to always be with you along with his wisdom. God will never abandon us, do not be tempted by the devil’s lies that he has, and that God is mad and has hatred toward us. These are used to drive you away from God, in reality he is near and is holding us dear to his heart wanting us to feel his closeness and love. With this new authority, delegate appropriately as well to those who are God fearing and are able to handle such tasks.

Moses had to delegate in order to avoid his own self burnout and to help the Israelites with issues. Give people their own authority as God gives you your own authority and always support each other in the process. Give people as chance in order to prove themselves in the respectable manner and way. Trust God with it all and know that he is always near to you in all of your low and highs in life. May God bless you and keep you, Amen!
