What to do with our God given gifts, talents, and time.
Gifts and talents, we all have some form of them in one way or another from being persuasive, to being loving and gentle, to being good in one field or another. We can do what we want and when we want with what gifts God has blessed us with, but how we use them determines where we go. You can use your gifts for good or for evil, that is up to you, but you must be willing to accept to consequences on your judgement day when God confronts you about them. No gift or talent is given to us by mistake, God knew exactly what he was doing when he gave you those gifts and talents to use for good. Everyone has a unique gift and calling, your gift may be loving others easily and since you have that you can visit people in prison and show them God’s love. Your talent may be taking care of the sick, poor, and helpless so you may work at a hospital and volunteer to help the homeless.
Regardless of what your talents and gifts are from God, he expects us and wants us to use them faithfully and do well with them. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior used a parable of a master who gave three slaves silver; the first he gave 5 pieces, the second he gave 2, and the last he gave 1. The first two were able to double their initial amount and he blessed them, putting them in charge of more while the last one hid his amount and gave back what was given to him. This led to him being kicked out and thrown to the curb basically for at least not making interest on it. In the same, God expects us to use what he has given us and try our best to get more from in order to be productive and gain more than what he initially has given us. That could mean more wisdom, more skills, and so on as long as we are keeping God in the mix and doing good with what he has given us.
We will all face the fear of looking foolish or have the fear of failing when we go about trying to make good of our time, talents, skills, energy, and intellect. That is a fear that is meant to hold us back in order to not accomplish what we have been called to do. We must push through and know that the biggest mistake in life is to constantly think that you are going to make one. If you feel like God is calling you to help the elderly, visit the sick or imprisoned, and feed and help the homeless and those who need it, go for it with his guidance. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior tells us his that helping those who are on the bottom of the society totem pole is helping him, visiting the imprisoned and sick is visiting him. Giving to those in need is giving to him, feeding the hungry is feeding him, if we want to find him, we must find the people who are at the worst. The bottom of totem pole is where Jesus is which is where we need to look in order to find him and help him through those who are in need.
Be grateful with what you have been given with from God and do the absolute best you can and do not complain about it. Remember that God’s unfailing love and kindness will always be with you, God will guide and protect you along your journeys. Listen to him and allow him to guide you with the gifts and talents he has given you in order to live a fulfilling life. And also remember when you are facing hard times, he will be right with you, just keep pushing and he will show you to reason to it. Use your gifts for his good and trust God with your talents, gifts, and big dreams he has given you since he many just want you to do it. Trust him entirely and he will take care for you, keep your faith in him and everything will be Okay. May God bless you and keep you close to his heart and love, Amen!!!!
