The answers God will give us to prayers and what they might mean for us.

Prayer, an extremely powerful weapon, tool, way of communication, and most importantly the way we communicate with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and loving father. When we pray to God, we must have the faith that he has heard us from down here and know that he has already answered us. The answer might not be exactly what we want to hear since most, if not all of the time, we desire what we prayed for and do want it there and now. This is the impatient nature of our souls and flesh that we are and yet God in all of his love understands this and is completely patient with us regardless of how we feel. God’s answers to our prayers are either yes, no, or be patient and wait for when the time is right for what we prayed for. A yes is normally because it is good and fits within his will and you normally have the right intentions in your heart for it. A no could be because the prayer and things itself is not good or they do not benefit us, others, or his will and his glory all together. A no could also be followed with “not right now” indicated us to wait for what we prayed for.

Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior commanded his disciples, and commands us, to pray and seek first God’s Kingdom then everything else will be added onto us. Through doing this, we will start to pray in alignment with God’s will for us and still so his answers might be yes, no, or not yet. We are told to keep going to the door and knocking on it and have faith that one day it will be answered and we will be meet with a yes after waiting the allotted time. The waiting period is normally there in order for God to work within us, to prepare us, and to humble us in order to make sure we can handle it and not have self-pride. It could be a dream that you have had for years, a promotion at work, or something for your children in which he might give these answers to you for. Either way, there is always a reason behind his answer and if it is “not yet, be patient and wait” then we must allow him to prepare us by opening our hearts to him more with him taking control.

Sometimes, parents can be zealous about their children’s future and start praying for their future and asking for things that they themselves might not be able to handle. We are given an example by the mother of Zebedee’s sons who prayed and asked Jesus to grant her sons to sit at his right and left hand in his Kingdom. Jesus’ no was also from compassion to her and her children, she may not have seen it then and we might not as well, however we see it eventually as to why the ‘no’ happened. In her case, it was because one, Jesus could not grant such authority since only the Father had that authority, and two, they would have to suffer like he would in order to do so. Most of the time, God’s “no” isn’t because he doesn’t want us to have what we desire at all or because he doesn’t love us. His “no” is out of love because most of the time, we do not know what we are asking either for and what to go through in order to receive what we have prayed and asked for. It isn’t until we see what we avoided as an alternate to what we would have to have gone through that when then appreciate his “no” as he protects and takes care of us.

Then again we have the “wait and be patient ” answer that we might get a lot more than anything. This isn’t a no and isn’t a yes, rather it’s a “Let me prepare you for what you have asked for” answer from God. Because God is a good Heavenly Father, he needs us prepared for the life he has in front of us and the journey’s, hardships, and people we might deal with. It can be from getting something new, to a promotion, to owning a business, to even parenthood in some form, all of these require being prepared in someway or form in order to do properly. God is to loving to see us fail over and over again, so if we allow him to, he will prepare us and set us on the right track and in the right environment in order to excel at what we have prayed for.

In the end, as mentioned above, every answer has a very powerful meaning and reasoning to it that we receive from God. From his yes’s to his no’s to his wait’s, they all have a reason as to why he has answer us in this way and what it means for us going forward. It is also important to note and remember that when we pray to God our good Heavenly Father, we also have The Holy Spirit and Jesus himself praying and interceding for us as well. We do not pray alone in anything as we have two other spiritual beings praying for us and with us; they also pray for us since we do not exactly know what to pray for normally at all. So whatever answer you may receive from God, whether yes, no, or wait and be patient, it all has a reason behind it; if you are confused ask him to show you and in due time he just might show you why. It might be subtle or very obvious as to why he gave you that answer, regardless of what it is, trust him and know that he is looking from up above and an external viewpoint, not our viewpoint. Stay blessed and may God’s love and peace be with you and know everything is Okay, Amen!!!!

P.s. and remember in all that we pray, it must not be with the intentions to lord it over anyone. We should pray in order to help and serve others, not to make people our servants. Remember Jesus even said that he came to serve not to be served, stay blessed.
