Trust God in the storms of life we encounter
We will encounter numerous storms varying in type, severity, and duration; these storms might be there to help us realize something or to test us one way or another. God may give us storms to test our faith and to see if we will still rely on him when we have these storms and to know he is with us through it all. Storms can come in any form, from financial issue, physical issue, mental, or even spiritual issue, no two storms are the same. Many storms can be alike, taking what you learned from one before and then applying it to the current one you are facing and this one might add on to your lesson from the previous one. When we encounter these storms, we are to take our shield of faith and stand strong knowing that God has our back. When we face them, we are to trust in Jesus our Lord and Savior to bring us through this storm knowing that he can calm it.
The storms of life are never fun, often being harsh and unpredictable in nature and duration. This is why when they happen, we have to take our shield of faith and look to Jesus and know that he sees us regardless of what is happening. This is when your foundation is tested to see if you can sustain the harsh rain and winds of this storm and not be knocked over from this storm. In the midst of everything, put all of your trust in Jesus your Lord and Savior in him alone and watch as he guides you through and calms the storm around you. We must not do what Peter did when Jesus calls us to do something and then focus on the storm around us, focusing on the storm and not Jesus will cause you to sink down under. Through the storms of life, there is rejuvenation for healing to take place within us and within our lives so new things can grow and replace the old and bad. A forest fire is one of the most uncontrollable fires, yet, it has a purpose of removing the old and bad, allowing the soil to be nurtured and allow new plants to grow. Good things can come from bad storms and experiences, we just have to look for them and seek them out, allow the healing to happen, and watch what God can do. He may seem like Jesus is sleeping during your storm, he is not, he is with in it and always will be with you while protecting you and making sure you get through in one piece.
Remember that Jesus has control over everything, including attacks that come during the storms from other people or things. Jesus has authority over said attacks and allows them to happen because he does loves us and knows we can learn something from it or get stronger from the attack. In storms though, we will great moments of calm where we might go and help people, regain strength and energy, and start to forgive or ask for forgiveness for things we have might have done or said during the battle of it all. Yet, while still battling the storm, we are called to still forgive those who persecute us, help others, and be loving; it will be hard because of what you are facing, however, Jesus is right with you and will give you the strength. We are to show and give mercy and also receive God’s mercy for ourselves and trust in his provision during these tough times in life and know he will always provide regardless of what is happening.
God will provide provision to us when we do things our faith and show him how much we love him and how far we are willing to go. God will also keep his promises during our storms as he has never failed to keep his promises, we may have to be patient and learn in the storm, however, it will always be right on time. When God blesses us with the promise he told us, he may test our faith to see if we will obey him or not and to test our love for him. He did this to Abraham after he told him to go sacrifice him after promising he would give him a son and that all nations would descend from him. God may also test our faith with what he blessed us with and see if we still trust him to do what he promised he would do with what he gives us. Abraham had to have faith that God would fulfill the promises he made through Isaac even though he was telling him to sacrifice him on a mountain. We all know how it ends, just as he is about to sacrifice him, and angel came and said that The Lord is pleased with his faith and then a ram appeared for the burnt offering.
God may test you to see if you are willing to do something with what he said he would bless you with and through. When we obey and do what he asks, he will provide the provision necessary to carry out the task assigned to you, all we have to do is have faith that he can and will provide. We are told to obey God by first seeking The Kingdom and God’s righteousness and then he promises that all the things we need for our life will be added unto us in their due time and season. Going through storms and tests of faith are not easy nor fun, often difficult and a bit confusing to most and makes us hesitant. In these moments, we are to trust Jesus and know that he is much aware of our current situation and have faith that he will provide along the way knowing that he is in control. Jesus is not surprised by anything for he has seen all time and things to come, so trust him and know everything will be Okay and given to you in due time. Amen!
You are not unseen, he sees you, loves you, and will never abandoned you.
