This is no way intended to be used SOLELY on figuring out your walk with God. This is merely my personal experience and what I had to go through and so on. I pray it encourages you to keep going and to trust God, but this is not to be taken alone itself. There are many free bibles and resources available to help you, including this, but do not take it alone as it is, just my take and personal experience.

Welcome back to ‘The Ride’ series, glad you stayed and decided to come back and read some more about my personal experience with following Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. In the last post – which you can read here – I ended off with saying to trust God and know things will come in due time and his timing is perfect. In this post, I am going to elaborate on that a bit more and explain to you what I mean by his timing is perfect and everything will come at their perfect time. When we think of time, we want everything done right now since we live in a world with instant Gratification and we are told that if we don’t do things right now we will never be able to ascertain them; its why most things end in a horrible mess that could have been avoided if people though things through. The most prominent example of this type of not being patient or jumping the gun when it comes to anything is starting relationships. I am not saying have a relationship is bad, far from that I actually pointed out that God doesn’t want us alone in certain ways, however jumping the gun and not waiting is what makes relationships end in bad ways.

As you can see, we are shown bad relationships nearly everywhere we go, from one city or state to another, we see these results and what their affect can be on the victim and their families. We have a domestic abuse hotline for a reason, we shouldn’t have to have gotten that far in bad relationships to require such a thing and yet we do. Am I saying the victim’s fault for getting a bad relationship with someone who they thought they could trust and be vulnerable to? Absolutely not, I feel bad for them because they will most likely not trust anyone anymore and will most likely not find the one whom God wanted them with all along. This isn’t the only example though of not being patient and waiting on God’s timing for certain things. There is so much more and so many other things that we jump the gun on when God wanted us to be patient and trust in his timing.

Speaking of God’s timing, we are told numerous times through out the bible to not only trust on his timing; that his timing is also perfect and he is never late or never early. Ecclesiastes 3 verses 1-8 shows the perfect timing of God’s time and his love and shows that everything that God has planned has an appointed time, from our birth to our death and everything in between.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,  Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

God has everything under control, he has planned every little detail and has seen every little detail that you will ever do up to when you pass from here and return home to him even still then he sees all of which you will do in Heaven. God is all seeing and all knowing, nothing can be hidden from him and because of that, he wants us to return to him and have a relationship with him. Its through this special relationship with him that we taught how to love, have peace, not to worry, and to endure hardships with patience.

For enduring hardships, do not get confused when you start to follow Jesus that life will get easier, if anything the world will try to attack and life will get harder; however, we know that it is worth it in order to go home with him for eternity. We are told that when we endure hardships with patience, faith, and still remaining loving to others and helpful, God will show why we had to go through it and show why it was worth it. God will strengthen us through The Holy Spirit in order to help endure such hardships and trials as promised and written in 2 Timothy 4:5, we are also told to not get tied up with affairs of the world for then we cannot please God when we live for the world and not with him as described in 2 Timothy 2:3-5.

No one likes to endure hardships and trials since they are the most difficult part of life most of the time, however, it is a way to strengthen our faith in God and remember the promises he has made and kept. Like physical muscles, our muscles in faith must be put under tension and pressure in order to grow or they become atrophied and we weaken in faith. Remember though when you are going through these trials and battles, God would not one, give them to you if he knew you couldn’t handle it, two, give it to you and leave you, and three not remind you that you already have the victory through him and him alone already. So, in conclusion and as I have learned and still learning; rely on God always, take the battles to God and ask in prayer if they are battles he wants you to fight, and lastly know everything is going to okay because he is with us always and he takes care of us because we are his creation, children, and because of that, his responsibility. Amen!

P.S. don’t think God will be upset if you were to come to him sad and upset, he wants to talk to us regardless of anything. If you are sad, stressed, confused, and upset that is when he wants us to talk to him. He wants to take that away from us, so if you catch yourself sad or any of those, run into his open arms and let his love overwhelm you. Also if you feel like nothing is happening and everyone around you is moving on and is being blessed, God has the perfect time for; remain and be patient faithfully. Everything will be Okay, as he has promised and he keeps those promises.
